Before this, I think a more secure network should be used.
VMware is a very good product but what about your LAN ?

If you don't have a strong firewall, you should used a Level 2 management
switch and create VLAN.
On your VLAN, put a router and set outbound rules to deny all except HTTP,
HTTPs and DNS.
This VLAN will access only Internet.
