OK: Credit monitoring urged after Altus college computer breach

A computer breach at Western Oklahoma State College may have exposed
Social Security numbers and other identifying information for 1,500
campus library users.

The two-year college alerted students and staff Monday about the
breach, which is believed to have occurred Nov. 11. It was discovered
Feb. 18. An unauthorized program known as a rootkit was installed on a
server administered by an outside party.
