I recently asked what people about rolling your own certificates rather
than buy them. Those who responded felt that it was worthwhile to pay to
cost to use a Trusted Root CA as recorded by IE, for example - at least
for external access. Well, now here is an outfit proposing to provide
free certificates. Of course, your users would have to trust their root
certificate, which you might or might not condone. Thoughts on this? Is
this sort of thing a threat or potentially useful? Thanks
