Our Language department is using Skype in lab classes, with an entire
class here calling an ESL class in Barcelona, for example, and chatting
away in both languages. It's something exciting to watch.

Further, regarding our residence halls, we work to protect traffic like
Skype or Warcraft, since these folks live here. For international
students, Skype may be the best means of calling home.

I have classes defined in our Packetshaper for Skype:
  Skype-Control, Priority(5)
  Skype-Data,    Rate(5) 0

These, along with Ventrilo and other VoIP classes, are within a
partition of 10% of our total bandwidth (6Mb/s out of 60M).
