Darren, Are we getting slick with a not-so-subtle character assassination job,
Since you want to use the 'royal we'... No, we're just taking an example and making it impersonal...or at least that was my intent by removing your name but you replied...oh well.
or maybe venting a little about fears you have about yourself?
I'm secure in what I do, thank you. I just wish I had twice the amount of time available that I do.
I invite you to reread my note, with an emphasis about people judging people without having had the opportunity to meet them and then form an opinion based on fact.
Ok, so you chase money and don't care where it comes from and spend money to gain more money. An investment strategy of sorts.
I am amused by your statement "Some of the bigger consulting mobs might see value in what you've got to offer, but quite frankly, I can't wait until you find another easy source of money and move on." It makes me wonder if you're afraid of competition?
No, just that you seem to be a class example of the "snake oil" security people who joined the scene when it became obvious there was money there, no real interest in the technology itself except for the potential rewards. Hence the CISSP just becomes a means to the end (acquiring money). One of the group marcus loved to moan about. "Hire me, I know everything! See, I even have a certificate to prove it!" I wonder how much the average person remembers of what they needed for their final year college exams a couple of years down the track... p.s. At the end of the week, I *really* didn't need to read this... _______________________________________________ firewall-wizards mailing list firewall-wizards () nfr com http://list.nfr.com/mailman/listinfo/firewall-wizards
