It is illegal because you told it span from 200 to 50. The second
number needs to be larger than the first.

This works:
$ nmap -sP 127.0.0.4-5

Starting Nmap 4.53 [Revision 6743] ( http://nmap.org ) at 2008-02-01 10:31 PST
Host 127.0.0.4 appears to be up.
Host 127.0.0.5 appears to be up.
Nmap done: 2 IP addresses (2 hosts up) scanned in 0.057 seconds

This doesnt:
$ nmap -sP 127.0.0.4-3

Starting Nmap 4.53 [Revision 6743] ( http://nmap.org ) at 2008-02-01 10:31 PST
Your host specifications are illegal!
QUITTING!
