If it's a really big graphic, it will work best with a scalable output format like SVG or PDF.I tried that but I have 600+ hosts in this scan and they just end up looking like a big colored blob. If I zoom and increase the ring gap I can get it to look decent but then I can't save it.
We had a discussion a while back about how saving the graphic should work. http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/2009/q2/548 The best way to do it is to zoom out so the whole graph is visible, save as SVG, then use an SVG editor to zoom in or blow up the picture the way you want. I have to regard that as a workaround, though. Better would be an option to select "current view"/"whole graph" when saving. Then if the topology were 4000 × 4000 pixels, you could save it directly to a PNG of that size.
